Breaking Chains: My Journey Through Multiple Divorces

Imagine this: divorcing more than eleven times, not in marriages, but in life-altering choices that redefine who you are. Divorce isn't just a legal process—it's a profound act of liberation, a shedding of skins that no longer fit, a reclaiming of self.
My journey started with the end of an unligned marriage in my thirties, but it didn't stop there. I divorced junk food, alcohol, medications, and even the toxic comfort of convenience food. Each separation was a step towards reclaiming my health, my happiness, and my purpose.
But divorce isn't easy. It's a journey of self-discovery, a battle against ingrained habits and societal pressures. I wrestled with negative self-talk, with playing small, with relationships that no longer served me. It was a slow, arduous process of acceptance, of learning to embrace my true self once again.
I once found myself married to my high school boyfriend, simply because it seemed like the path everyone else took, including my parents. It was easy, comfortable—but it wasn't me. And just as I divorced that misconception of what love should be, I divorced other illusions imposed by societal norms and advertising's mind control. I saw through the facade of convenience food ads and the pressure to conform, reclaiming my autonomy one divorce at a time. Covid was the pinnacle when I left my accounting career and became an hypnosis practitioner and consciousness coach - leaving conformity in the past.
Through it all, I've learned that divorce isn't just about letting go—it's about reclaiming. It's about stepping into the person you were always meant to be, unencumbered by the chains of the past. And while the journey is far from over, I'm embracing it with open arms, knowing that each divorce brings me one step closer to my true destiny.
So, I ask you: what have you divorced? What chains are holding you back, begging to be broken? It's time to reflect, to release, and to rewrite your story on your own terms. Are you ready to take that first step towards liberation? Why or why not? Knowing your why is important!
